A newborn baby is delicate, a toddler’s feelings are delicate, a father watching his girls going to school on the first day is as delicate as a newborn.
I try to find the balance of strength and delicacy with my daughters because I want them to have an example of the mate they would want to pick. I don’t want them to pick someone like me, but I want them to pick someone who can be vulnerable with them and they can feel safe to be vulnerable with.
I’m learning this late in life, but I’m learning. That is another thing I want them to know, always learn.
The hard part us knowing when to be delicate and when to be protective. I make mistakes but I’m in the game until it’s done.
